The Ninh Binh Industrial Zones Authority hosted a ceremony on March 13 to celebrate its 20th founding anniversary (March 17, 2004-2024).

Ninh Binh's Confederation of Labour on January 18 held programme "Tet of gathering and spring of sharing" for over 800 workers and labourers in industrial zones and clusters in the province.

The northern province of Ninh Binh is planning to zone off four new industrial zones with a total area of 1,380 hectares, raising the total number of industrial zones to 11, covering an area of 2,790 hectares.

Industrial zones (IZs) has drawn a large amount of investment from economic sectors, especially foreign direct investment (FDI), thus helping to increase the province's technological ability, competitiveness, and export turnover, and expand international cooperation.

In recent years, Ninh Binh has paid due attention to attracting investment into the province in general and its industrial zones (IZs) in particular. The local IZs have also seen better indicators in terms of occupancy rate, quality of projects, and feasibility and efficiency of projects as compared to other IZs in the nation and in the region.

In the context of the shifting global supply chains after the COVID-19 pandemic, the northern province of Ninh Binh has actively taken synchronous and appropriate solutions in order to welcome a new wave of investment into industrial zones (IZs).

The development of industrial zones needs a comprehensive plan to capture the transition of the foreign direct investment (FDI) inflow spurred by trade wars and the COVID-19 pandemic in which Vietnam has significant opportunities to become the next global factory.

In parallel with speeding up land clearance and improving infrastructure at local industrial zones (IZs), the Industrial Zone Authority of Ninh Binh has offered advice to the provincial People's Committee to adjust the province's master plan, accelerate administrative reforms and create a favourable investment environment, making these IZs attractive destinations for investors.

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc had a dialogue in Ha Nam on May 20 with nearly 1,000 workers at industrial zones (IZ) in the Red River Delta.

The PM has approved a target program on investment in infrastructure of coastal economic zones, border economic zones, industrial parks, industrial clusters, high-tech parks and high-tech agriculture zones in the 2016-2020 phase.
